Paul Jatayna - The Amazing Prince of the Dead

Well, he is a jewelery designer, but what a jewelery :)... I just can't stop watching those mystical bone-made, dark art items on his web page:
http://www.os-accessories.com/
..But for his art I will open a new topic..
Now for Paul Jatayna himself... He is 23 years old and lives in Manila, Philippines,,, and not only his creations are perfect, but his own style and image is just fucking unearthly! His appearance is dark and some kind magical, when I look at his pictures I have the feeling that I'm traveling in the underground land of the dead,,the beautiful dead. ..In his some-kind trademarks you will see lots of bones, crow skulls, feathers, long black ghost-like sweaters and crazy pants. I totally not love, but ADORE his wardrobe and his works of art... You can check more of him in lookbook under the name of Paul J. and als view his own blog:

Faces of fashion - Asen Asenov

So I was about to continue my rubric "Facebook hunt for pictures", but I realized that I have friends who are so artistic and unique and have so many classy pictures that they deserve their own representation. So from now on, there won't be anymore hunting. There will be FACES OF FASHION.
I'll star representing my fashionable facebook friends in alphabetical order. So the first one is a boy named Asen Asenov. He is a really good beginning, because he not only has taste and has posted quality fashion photos, but he is also a  young fashion designer.
A little info about him - Asen is living the Bulgarian town of Targovishte and he is only 18 years old. He became interested in fashion in his early teens and lately this has become his long live dream. Now his last creation - a dress made of hair - is included in photosession with a popular Bulgarian model Svetlana Vasileva.

This is what Asen says about art and fashion:

"When you live in a grey world like this, you always search something different, and that different thing is my imagination. Imagination is the key to the unsual . You can be everybody, everywhere in every moment."

So I'll present Asen with photos of him , that represent very well his personal style of clothing. Enjoy this young stylish artist and some of his creations :)

People of the streets - Sofia

Sometimes when I walk and I'm feeling bored of just walking I make photos of the people on the streets. So I made a brief selection of more interesting girls that I have pictured with my camera. I tried to capture a little of the street spirit of my city Sofia. Here you can see the mood of one sunny spring day spent outdoors.

PAUSE JEANS , Bulgaria

I found one interesting Bulgarian boutique near my home. Its name is Pause Jeans and the offer some extravagant clothes out there. The ones that picked my eye were these skinny jeans with some rocker's attributes on the legs. Also I like a lot the top - it's a police vest ! This outfit reminds me of Lara Croft and Tomb Raider game. So if you are ready for fight and adventure in the city jungle this is the right wear :)

Also I want to show you some of the other models of Pause Jeans which I find interesting:

Pride Parade - fight for rights, crazy party or something gross

I know that this is one very controversial issue, but I want to show these events from their fun, beautiful, color side. Conservative people want to ban the parades as they are bad example for their kids, but in my opinion those parades are nothing more than the famous techno street parades. They proclaim the same things such as freedom, equality, joy and love between people no matter their race, sexual orientation and religion. In a world full of hate, wars and separation every event that unites as many as possible human beings together, well, it's a good thing. We need to be more open minded, we need to learn to accept everybody, we need to stop the hate. Maybe in our society this is impossible, but let's just for one day in year forget our boundaries, forget our moral, forget everything that is wrapped around our neck and just be free. Free from boring relationships with suffocating partners, free from living for the people's opinion. Let's for one day stop being sheep and become individuals.
Pride parades for the LGBT community (also known as gay pride parades, pride events and pride festivals) are events celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgenderLGBT) culture. The events also at times serve as demonstrations for legal rights such as same-sex marriage. Most pride events occur annually and many take place around June.  In the 1980s there was a cultural shift in the gay movement. Activists of a less radical nature began taking over the march committees in different cities, and they dropped "Gay Liberation" and "Gay Freedom" from the names, replacing them with "Gay Pride".

And some facts about my country. Like the other countries from the Balkans, Bulgaria's population is very conservative when it comes to issues like sexuality. Although homosexuality was decriminalized back in 1968 people with different sexual orientations and identities are still not well accepted in society. In 2003 the country enacted several laws protecting the LGBT community and individuals from discrimination. In 2008, Bulgaria organized its first ever pride parade. The almost 200 people who had gathered were attacked by skinheads, but police managed to prevent any injuries. The 2009 pride parade, with the motto "Rainbow Friendship" attracted more than 300 participants from Bulgaria and tourists from Greece and Great Britain. There were no disruptions and the parade continued as planned. A third Pride parade took place successfully in 2010, with close to 800 participants and an outdoor concert event.
Facts are sad... Honestly I'm ashamed of the society here. Even young people born after the socialist regime are still narrow-minded and they cannot see how colorful and big is the world. Most of the new generation here is living without going out of its own town or village. Teenagers are dreaming to have expensive car, expensive phone and many sexual partners. They look only in the material world, they are uneducated, and full of prejudices. I want to dedicate the photos of this post to every adult lost in his gray daily routine, to every young girl that dreams to become a folk singer and marry a rich old man, to every boy that wants to drive BMW and be a body builder, to everyone who cannot see more that his own nose. People ot those photos are FREE, ,,, at least one day in the year....

Goth glam style - being a fashion star and stay dark at the same time

Well, the logical next post should be about the style that you saw in Gareth Pugh collections - goth-glam. What is a goth glam ot glam goth ? A glam goth is a person who combines current goth styles with high street fashion. They switch baggy bondage trousers for high waisted leather shorts, and ripped tops for black sequined tops. They may still wear goth boots, or simply high heels. There dominant colour is still black, but they add a little sparkle to it. People like-Dita Von teese may come under glam goth. Some people give a defition for glam goth as a vampirish style. All that Twilight fever and modern vampire movies are full of personages dressed in goth glam style. It's shiny, it's classy and bold, a mixture of the 60s sexual revolution and the Frankenstein Gothic vibe. Mini dresses, oversized coats and skinnies were considered basic pillars of Goth Glamor.

Cyber fashion - be freak of the party

As i'm trying to present as many as possible subculture stylings today I've decided that it's time for one extreme fashion - CYBER... Cyber  style incorporates extravagant hair pieces and styles, including synthetic dread locks, cyberlox, extensions and so on. These hair pieces can be made of a variety of materials, from real hair to synthetic kankelon hair to plastic tubing, rubber and foam and are often accented with goggles. Cyber fashion combines rave, rivethead, and goth fashion, as well as drawing inspiration from cyberpunk and other forms of science fiction. Androgyny is common. The style features one starkly contrasting bright or neon-reactive theme colour, such as red, blue, neon green, chrome, or pink. Just look at it:

Well, the song here is actually industrial, but cyber style origins from industrial mixed with rave and techno,so..  I like that group Dulce Liquido, you can check them out in youtube or download from Soulseek.

Girls=BoyZ - Girlz dressed like boyZ, Hooligan girlZ,,Girlz GET RUDE

After so many topics about colorful styles it's time for my eye to rest. So I picked my next subjec to be the boyish girls. In that category I want to put not only gils dressed in typical man wear like the well- known dandy style, but also girls that can be in skirts but have that rude, arogant look that we are more often used to see in boys from the suburban arias. These girls are brave, don't have nothing elegant and girly in them, but in my opinion they have some sexy magic. Even the most glamourous Hollywood queen with thousands of dollars can't have that sex appeal. Nasty looks, bushy hairs, torn jeans, army boots, so nice on girls.
Of course the other side of the street is catwalk, presenting the "dandy" style.
But this fall one new aspect of man fashion will conquer the women's wardrobes - Zoro - hats, pants, mantle.

Let's see first the street galz with boyish charm, and boyish attitude.

AFRICA street fashion

I showed you some of the most eccentric styles from the streets of Japan  and it's time to move on for another as interesting style based in Africa. That African fashion and African inspired fashion is gaining immensely in popularity is no surprise. The most influential African blogs and websites continue to promote this trend in world fashion. However, what is less documented or discussed is the slow but strong emergence of African Street Fashion. Now in this post you will not see the well-known afro tribal elements that have become world wide famous and everybody has seen them even in the most expensive boutiques. Almost every designer has used tribal afro spirit in collections. So forget about them. Africa has developed amazing street culture. So artistic and brave. Thumbs up for these fresh young people.

Nu Rave fashion - ready for clubbing

So what is new (nu) rave music and style? New rave (sometimes spelled nu rave or neu rave) is a term applied to several types of music that fuse elements of electronic music, new wave, rock, indie, techno, trance, breakbeat and electro house . It is most commonly applied to an arguable British-based music scene between 2005 and late 2008 of fast-paced electronica-influenced indie music that celebrated the late 1980s' Madchester and rave scenes through the use of neon colours and using the term 'raving' to refer to going nightclubbing.
The aesthetics of the new rave scene are largely similar to those of the original rave scene, being mostly centred around psychedelic visual effects. Glowsticks, neon and other lights are common, and followers of the scene often dress in extremely bright and fluorescent colored clothing. Indeed, many consider New Rave to be defined more by the image and aesthetic of its bands and supporters, than by the somewhat vague sonic criteria.
I'll add that nu rave styling is widely spread on techno festivals nowadays and has increased its popularity among the young people.

Klaxons, Trash Fashion, New Young Pony Club, Hadouken!, Late of the Pier and Shitdisco are generally accepted as the main exponents of the genre (although some of them disavow the term entirely).

And let see photos representing the new party style, after the old is already in the past. First I want to post pictures from one catwalk taking place at London Fashion Week. Its name is Fashion East and that comunity has the tast to promote new designers. One "star" from that vrew who already is working alone is the genial Gareth Pugh. In 2007 Louise Goldin, Danielle Scutt, and Henry Holland were sharing the incubator for great minds. And this is probably the first official catwalk with elements - Nu Rave. Henry Holland has created the first 17 outfits of the catwalk in party new rave style.  Here are some of the most interesting looks from the event.
