Dandizettes and Dandy boys
As I started the topic for girls with boys attitude it's time to cross the street and enter into middle class, where has born the style "dandy". First used only by men, than wide spread between women, till it reaches today fashion.A dandy (also known as a beau or gallant) is a man who places particular importance upon physical appearance, refined language, and leisurely hobbies, pursued with the appearance of nonchalance in a cult of Self. Historically, especially in late 18th- and early 19th-century Britain, a dandy, who was self-made, often strove to imitate an aristocratic lifestyle despite coming from a middle-class background.
So dandizettes is the female version of dandy. Well, in 19th century this meant a woman obssed by fashion and clothes, trying to look classy and above people of her class, but the woman of 19th century was dressed in woman's clothes. What is happening in 21st than? As i couldn't find an exact definition of what exactly should one dandizette wear nowadays - woman ot male clothes I decided to write my own opinion without serching other sources of information. In 20th century Paul Poiret made a revolution in fashion removing the corset and crinoline and making slim silhouettes. He freed women from that heavy wardrobe they had. After the revolution was made it didn't pass long when Coco Chanel herself dressed in mannish clothes, and adapted these more comfortable fashions which other women also found liberating. So in my opinion the modern female dandy is exactly a woman dressed in stylish, elegant clothes but with elements taken from man's wardrobe. It could be skirt , it could be pants, it could be everything, but has a detail which is not feminine - hat, tie, bow ties, shirt, etc. These were the symbols of well-dressed man in 18th century, that's why they become a main treat of dandy today. So what's the main answer of what is dandy? I'll say it shortly.
Dandy in the 18th century was a person who is obsessed with clothes and who is pretending ot be upper class. Today we call dandy people who dress themselves in outfits that have 18th century elements - top hat, tie, shirt, bowler hat, etc.
First I want to show you some pictures of Paul Poiret models, compared to late 19th cetury fashion, so you will have the idea how much this person was inovative and unique for his time.

Poiret made the first modern dandy girls with men details in clothing. Here are the 21st century girls and of course boys. Boys of our time are dandy if they are still using some really old elements, remained through the centuries and living between our modern jeans and rocker jackets.
